I’ve decided to give WordPress a try, as well as start a blog based on something I love…Jesus and his people. There’s so much going on out in the world, and so much creativity, that I thought I’d do some reviewing and writing about things I think are cool that as a Christian (or non-Christian even) you might be interested in.
As far as introductions, I’ve been walking with Jesus since 1985, sort of. I was brought up Catholic, but actually met Jesus at a Evangelical-Charismatic-Catholic retreat in the summer of my 9th grade year. That was after getting into some very deep trouble, getting arrested, spending some time in a juvenile detention center, expelled, grounded, etc.
I learned to really love and forgive in the next few years. Then I went to college.
In college, I sort of got back into stuff that was not pointing toward God, but I still knew the truth, I just wasn’t walking in it. That’s where I met my wife. (We got married after she graduated and have since made 4 babies).
After college, my brother invited us to his home group and that’s when my wife and I really felt the love of people, and the love of God.
We’ve been walking with Him since then.
Amidst all that, we were in a techno/dance music group (antidote) and released 3 records with N•Soul Records, started a graphic design business, ministered at raves and clubs, led worship at a small church, all sorts of stuff that I’ll write about later. Stay tuned.
Part of why I’ve started this blog is because I want to do something that is obviously Christian. I don’t mention Jesus to my graphic design clients too often, not because I’m ashamed, I just don’t think it’s “professional”. And I don’t want readers of my children’s stories blog to be turned off without getting something out of the stories. I’ve really been wanting to get back in to sharing what the Lord is doing in my life and the lives around me, and even the lives I see Him working on.
Don’t expect a daily devotional, although I’m sure I’ll be sharing something along those lines every once in a while. Expect to hear my heart.
Thanks for reading, and bless you.
