Alien Begins with A Lie

Do you know someone who claims to have seen an alien? Do you think they might have said so to get attention or to be famous? It’s possible, right?

Here’s the question to ask: has that person ever had any sort of contact with the occult, ouija boards, been part of a seance, had their fortune told, relied on a spirit guide, communed with the collective consciousness, cast a spell?

All of these things mentioned are fake, but we believe things that justify our actions and make us feel good. These things can be explained by things like: power of suggestion, cold reading, manipulation, redirection, hypnosis. These things are just a vehicle, though. A way to distract us.

First thing here is that we need to establish that the enemy wants to distract us, and he will lie to that end. He’s going to grab on tight and deceive you into thinking that what you are thinking is correct.

So, the alien thing, I believe is another trick to distract us from God.

What do you think of when you think of aliens? Where did they come from? What do they want? Why do they want to destroy us? Did God create them? Are they smarter than us? Do they have wisdom for us? Are they mentioned in the Bible? Did Jesus die for them too?

This is what I am talking about. It’s a distraction.

The reality is that God created us as His special creation, and when He wanted to forgive us once and for all, He sent His only Son to earth not some other planet far away. By believing in aliens, you are believing that we are not God’s special children. But we are.

It starts with Man’s quest for knowledge. We want to understand everything, including how our bodies work, how the earth works, and ultimately, how the universe works. This knowledge is good, but the reality is, it’s just a distraction.

The enemy wants us to forget about God.

Here’s something else, all the alleged alien abductions have been violent and against the will of the person (including kidnapping, rape, fear and even mind-wiping). Doesn’t that sound like the characteristics of something that hates and destroys? The devil wants us to perish and never see God, and he’ll do anything and all he can to keep us from thinking about God.

God, on the other hand, wants to fill us with love and peace and purpose. The knowledge that we should be looking for is the knowledge that will help us understand how to trust in God. How an alien presumably got here is less important than Eternity after death, isn’t it?

It seems like everyone is thinking that if we know everything, global problems will be solved and we will all be happier. It’s not going to happen, not without God.

We are living at a time where knowledge and communication is the highest it’s been, but we aren’t any closer to anything. Sure we can fly, but we still have to die. Sure we can store more and more information in smaller and smaller spaces, but has it really bought us more time?

Here’s an interesting experiment: ask someone a question, any question. After they answer, ask them why. Then ask them why again, and again, like your kids do. (You may want to explain what you are doing beforehand so they won’t get annoyed.) It will either lead to “because God made it that way,” or “I don’t know.” Depending on your outlook.

My opinion is that there will never be a better answer than “God.” Man’s futile quest for knowledge is really just another way the enemy is trying to separate us from the Lord. The enemy would rather us try to figure things out for ourselves than trust in God.

Adam and Eve

What’s interesting is that the first time the enemy deceived someone, it was Eve, and it was with the same idea, “…your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Let me explain something; sin did not exist before Adam and Eve. God wanted Adam and Eve to be in communion with Him and live in happiness in the garden.

They didn’t know how to sin, so they didn’t need to know the difference between good and evil. So, by disobeying God, they severed the link, and as a consequence, were kicked out of the garden. Now they needed a new set of rules.

Once the rules were established, they knew exactly what God liked and disliked. So, knowledge apart from the Lord is not such a good thing, and Man’s quest for knowledge has since then been just that; knowledge apart from the Lord. What we should be striving for is knowledge from the Lord.

There’s a difference, and it says so in the Bible. “Such wisdom does not come down from Heaven, but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice” (James 3:15-16).

It also says that people will be deceived by things like this. (1 Timothy 4:1) “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.”

Aliens are a lie, and if God is not in your life, the devil will be.

The devil is very real, and he hates God. He will do anything he can to pit you against God, but he can not make you do anything. All he can do is tempt you. “Resist the devil and he will flee, draw near to God and He will draw near to you”. That means you have to start giving God control. Your eternity is at stake.

We can resist the devil because we have been given authority over him by the blood of Jesus. In other words, Jesus died for our sins (hence the blood reference), so by confessing our sins (acknowledging we are sinners) to God and accepting His forgiveness, we are no longer slaves to sin.

What I mean is, when you give in to the devil’s temptations, he chains you up to your sin like a ball and chain. It becomes like an addiction (because you are carrying it around all the time), and the devil will make you believe that nothing can forgive what you have done, and that there is no way to stop. He will make you feel guilty for disappointing God, and you will end up believing his lies.

God knows it’s hard, so He made it simple (not necessarily easy) to cut the chain. Ask Jesus to fight for you. Those demons really hate it when you fill your mind with praise and thankfulness to God. They also hate it when you read the Bible and memorize verses.

Tell other believers about your sins and pray for each other. Ask God to fill your thoughts. Allow Him to replace your heart with a new one that won’t be fooled by the devil’s tricks. Don’t go back.
