Since writing the post on Theophostic Prayer Ministry, I’ve been researching and reading more on opposition to it and have found much to think about and consider. I charge you to do the same thing. Although I like the idea of asking God to speak to us about lies we are believing, I think I’ve been naive about the full spectrum of TPM.
There seems to be some questionable things going on surrounding this movement, and I feel obligated to post about it. Or at least link to a site where you can read more about opposition to Theophostic Prayer Ministry.
So, you’ll need to ask the Lord to reveal the truth to you. I trust He will. I’m glad to have the internet to be able to research. I’m glad to have friends to point me to evidences as well.
I’m still not 100% either way. I’ve downloaded the e-book from LyingSpirits.com and will be reading in the next couple of weeks.
Again, I like the idea of asking the Lord to point memories out in our past that may have helped in forming a belief, and I believe He will if He wants. I see it as an encouragement from the Lord. I asked Him about some stuff yesterday and got some sweet encouragement.
There are warnings all over the TPM website about not doing anything until you’ve taken the courses. I’m assuming that’s because there could be lawsuits involved.
I disregarded the warnings and used the TPM model to dig, thanking Him and praising Him the whole time, asking Him for the truth:
Lord, what do You want me to pray about?
How do I feel about that?
What do I believe about that feeling?
What is the consequence of believing that?
Lord, what do You want me to know about this?
How do I feel about the original thing I was praying about?
I’m starting to see that there could be loads of problems with TPM. Implanting memories, self-deception, hypersuggestability, directing, false accusations, etc.
Thanks for reading, I hope I haven’t caused harm or confusion.
Have a great day.
What do you think?
1. Is your church using TPM?
2. Do you believe the Lord speaks to you?
3. How do you know it’s the Lord?

Jorge,
Please understand that I am not stating that asking the Lord to reveal things to a believer during their quiet times of prayer is an unnecessary, unBiblical, or silly practice. The Scriptures encourage asking the Lord for things. For example, David asks the Lord to reveal his own hidden sins to him. So, we see from a Scriptural example that this is good.
What I am warning against, obviously, is the practices of TPM. It is unBiblical, completely philosophical, and occultic. Your words and warnings concerning TPM in your last paragraph were astute. I agree with you.
Our Lord loves us. Our Lord wants us to grow. In fact, 1 Thessalonians 4 says that our sanctification is His will. It doesn’t get any stronger than that. Philippians 2:13 says that “It is God who works in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” Amazing! The Greek words for “will” and work” are *desire* and *act.* So state it this way – It is God who works in you both to desire and to act for His good pleasure. Clearly our gracious Lord desires us to be free of the lies of the enemy.
Grace,
Dustin…

I can understand people being fearful about something they don’t really know about personally and have never experienced. That’s human nature. We tend to fear the unkown. I have read many criticisms about TPM and Ed Smith. The problem I have with these criticisms is that most of the negative comments I have read are not based on truth about what he teaches. I have been studying and using TPM for the past 8 years now. I have received much personal healing and have been able to facilitate prayer for others to be healed. If I receive freedom in a particular area, I know it is from the Lord who came to give me abundant life. If anything this ministry is part of the fulfillment of the scriptures on freedom and healing and truth.
First of all, someone stated that “the practices of TPM. It is unBiblical, completely philosophical, and occultic.” Wow! That’s amazing. Did you study all the materials? Did you talk to Ed Smith personally and find out where his heart is? Did you do what the Bible teaches about how to deal with a brother who is doing wrong? He has done what the Word of God teaches. He allowed the Lord to heal the wounds in his soul and then reviewed the criticisms, took another look, and made corrections where they were needed. That is the heart of a true believer in Christ Jesus, not an occultic leader. Most negative comments I have read are not based on what Ed Smith teaches. They are based on comments the others have made about they’re opinions, which are probably not be based on a thorough investigation of the facts.
At the time I was introduced to TPM, I was in need of some way to help others be healed up and also I was in need of healing. Wounded people wound people. It is a very old method of helping people. Many people have told me they have been praying this way for people for years. This is just the first time I know of that it was given a name. TPM was simply a method of praying and training sent by God to help some of His children to be healed and then trained to help others. He already knew some would reject this method. That’s why there are so many avenues for healing available to us. It is Father’s heart to heal us. He will meet us where we are willing.
My personal experience has been positive. I have been healed of many moments of time where I have picked up fears or beliefs that were unfounded. I believe the scriptures that say “Ask and you shall receive” and “You will know the truth and the truth will make you free” more than ever now. Let me give you an illustration. When I was in my 30’s, I was climbing a ladder to put something over my garage door. Fear seized me and I was shocked at the overwhelming feeling that I was going to fall. I had never been afraid of heights before. As years went by, I noticed other circumstances where I would feel this panicky fear: taking off in an airplane, climbing steps in a stadium, I even began to be gripped with fear as I approached the top of my stairway at home. I would have to “hang on” as I climbed up or went down the steps. I found this aggravating since “perfect love casts out all fear.” Years later, going through TPM with a facilitator praying and asking the Lord, He took me to the moment in time where I believed a lie. I was on vacation with my family. We were on top of a very high mountain, sightseeing. The overlook had no railings and children were climbing all over the rocks. It was miles down to the bottom. Fear gripped me and I held tightly to all four of my childrens’ hands, afraid they would fall.
Next, the Lord reminded me that when I was young, I spent much of my time as high as I could climb in trees, on the rooftop, etc. I packed a lunch and spent the day. I was not afraid at all. When the prayer facilitator asked the Lord what He wanted me to know about how I felt on the mountain, He showed me a picture of myself, crawling around the stairway at my home as a toddler and then standing on the banister painting the ceiling when I was a preteen. I was not afraid. He reminded me of all the time I spent enjoying being in high places. as a child. I sensed the Lord telling me that He was with me when I was a toddler, child and teen and I wasn’t going to fall. He was with my children and I and we weren’t going to fall. I know it sounds too simple, but the “fear of falling” left me in that moment. I began checking it out in the next few days. I saw a 16 foot ladder and decided to climb it. No fear. I didn’t grip the railing going up or down stairs anymore. One really big test was the next time I got on an airplane. I used to “psych” myself up by imagining God holding the plane in His hand just to get off the ground, because I was afraid the plane would fall before it got up in the sky. Landing was never a problem. I have never even thought of doing that since the Lord spoke simple truth to me. I asked and received from the Lord and the truth set me free from a nagging disability. I recently took a ski lift to the top of Massanutten in Virginia. We had to change ski lifts halfway up. I did not get off! What a spectacular view! This would not have been possible for me several years ago. This is just one example of many healing moments I have experienced through Theophostic Prayer Ministry.
Sometimes we “throw out the baby with the bath water.” But God wants us to discern was is His good and perfect will. We always measure what we hear taught by God’s Word. It has always been that way. If there is something questionable or wrong in what is taught, we take the good and put aside the other until we pray and study to find His truth on the matter. Think of the noble Bereans. They searched the scriptures daily to see if what the apostles were teaching was so.
I have worked with victims of incest, rape, molestation and abuse and have seen their lives totally transformed. I have spent hundreds of hours facilitating healing prayer for hundreds of people. I am also training others to do the same. It’s been one of the best things to ever happen to our church. And, yes, you do need to be well trained.
I appeal to all who may read this. Please don’t judge your brothers and sisters by what others think. Find out first hand. Talk to Ed Smith. Get his latest materials and test them with the Word. I can’t tell you the number of times I have been misjudged by people who did not come and ask me about an offended person’s comments to them. Human nature believes even lies spoken by a friend and takes up their offense. God smiles on love and unity, not this critical practice I am seeing in the body of Christ. Some have even made a lifetime ministry out of criticizing other ministries. Does that sound like what Jesus told the church to do? I tell you the truth. It is not. He went about doing good and healing all who were sick and afflicted. He shared the good news, not bad news. He rebuked those who were sinning face to face. Don’t you think He wants us to do the same? John 13:35 says, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” I Corinthians chapter 13 gives and excellent definition of a Christian’s love.
I want to make one more appeal. Please stop posting negative “junk” on the internet for weak, lazy and immature Christian brethren to read-people who refuse to find out the truth for themselves. You are hurting the Lord’s people who are immature by making your uncertainties public. Search out the Truth in private. Then confront the brother or sister privately as the Scriptures teach. Then follow the steps beyond that Jesus taught in Matthew 18:15-17. (GW) Mat 18:15 “If a believer does something wrong, go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that believer.
Mat 18:16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you so that every accusation may be verified by two or three witnesses.
Mat 18:17 If he ignores these witnesses, tell it to the community of believers. If he also ignores the community, deal with him as you would a heathen or a tax collector.
I know we as Believers have been making excuses for years, (myself included) why we haven’t been doing this. We are without excuse. It is God’s Word that will judge every one of us, so we need to get this right.
A. Stephens, Ohio
A.Stephens, thanks for this. I appreciate it. I am encouraged by your story.
Thanks
jorge
I believe that TPM is application of Biblical truth. I agree with A. Stephens. There are so many followers of Jesus who know the bible but where is their love of God and others? Is Christianity is knowledge and behavior like most religions? No. Christianity is about heart transformation which come as a result of the nenewal of our minds. We renew our minds with the truth: Jesus is our only Hope. He has covered us with His blood. We rely on Jesus for our justification and our sanctification. God desires His people to have broken and contrite hearts – we need His power to be broken befor Him.
wideawake, thanks for your insight. It’s all about the heart, isn’t it.
So true.
jorge
Hi guys, I’d like to also state that I am a supporter of TPM. I am a christian and have worked as a therapist in the field of sexual abuse fro many years, and have seen the intense emotional suffering victims have experience irrespective of how much therapy they have received.
A church member introuce me to TPM and I did the full training, and have since been overwhelmed by the positive results I have seen.
Ed Smith himself is very clear that if a facilitator leads in anyway, then he is no longer using TPM. Many of the critisism I have read and bad experiences are clearly because the facilitator is working outside guidelines. Unfortunately with many a little knowledge is dangerous. I think we have to be wise when seeking counsel from anyone. Let’s not critisise the method, which is absolutely of Go,d but use the holy spirit to discern the one who is so callee helping!!!
I would like to say to A. Stephens that theophostic prayer seems to me a little like consulting a medium. It is somewhere between normal prayer, because it requires another or others to assist you with it, and counseling, because it involves not just the counselor and you, but God. Please explain to me why you cannot possibly be opening yourself up to being a medium. A sceance-like ambiance is created on the TPM website session demo. There is expectancy for answers you want now to be given at that exact time. Something about it does not seem right.
Donna,
May I give the definition of a medium?
MEDIUM: an individual held to be a channel of communication between the earthly world and a world of spirits.
So what makes a medium different from a praying person? Are we (as praying people) not individuals who channel communication between this earthly world and a world of spirits?
I’ll tell you the difference. The difference is in the world of spirits with which you are communicating.
Prayer is nothing more than communication with God, as a Christian, through the name of Jesus Christ. Have you ever prayed for another person or had another person pray for you? Would you consider that person a “medium,” because they approached the throne of God for your sake?
When my nine year old daughter was raped, I was in a state of upset, unable to concentrate enough to pray myself. My friends stood in the gap for me, praying with me and asking God to bring me comfort and to speak words of peace and healing to me.
Isn’t this simply what TPM is attempting to do?
I don’t consider my friends to be “mediums”, but prayer warriors and I thank God that he puts the ministry of the body of Christ in our paths when we, for whatever reason, are unable to walk the path alone.
For every wound, there is an entrance point, be it physical or emotional. Finding the root of the pain is the first step in healing the pain. In the physical, it’s what a doctor does. In the spiritual, God is the doctor!
The Bible says that the truth can only set us free. Memories, fears, and traumas that are “shoved under the rug” and not faced and dealt with cause millions of dollars worth of chronic illness every year. Facing these debilitating memories and finding healing in the name of Jesus Christ is the first step to freedom.
The Bible says,
“Give me an undivided heart so that I may serve you wholly.”
A divided heart is a broken heart. We can’t completely serve God with a broken heart. Our eyes are on our pain. But God wants us healed so that we may serve Him wholly! An undivided heart is one that has been healed, made whole. With that, we can move mountains.
Be careful. Negative criticism can be poisonous. I encourage you to search out what God would say to you about this ministry. And remember how much they criticised Jesus. They criticised everything He did, from the beginning of His ministry to the end. Every time He healed a person, there was someone who cried heresy.
Joyful
Joyful,
A hearty Amen to all you said. And to Jorge, ten years ago in the midst of great family crisis and pain we called out to God and called on our pastor. He had just returned from a Basic training session in TPM. He was impressed and summarized what it was about.
I’ve never been able to correctly remember his words, but that word, Theophostic, lit up like an explosion in my soul. It made perfect sense.
In the crisis I had finally recognized that our family problems were largely rooted in me and “my stuff.” So, as a [then] legalistic “Berean” I took the materials that our pastor suggested I read and ran to the Internet for research.
The “anti-everything” voices were there, too… they always are, but what I read straight from Dr. Ed Smith and others directly involved quicked my heart.
Two weeks later our church put on the Basic Seminar, and I immediately set up a ministry session with the pastor. Not much happened, I think because of the newness of the concept and not being able to make the shift into the paradigm of letting Jesus do the talking. This is a cardinal point!
Jesus is well able to speak to his lambs, John 10:3. We as facilitators are only the doorkeeper. The goal is to have people recognize
- Sorry… I did a spell check and… gone!
- (Cont.) The goal is to have people recognize His voice, not ours. Choice 1, I speak truth. Choice 2, Jesus speaks Truth. Result: He gets enormously better results!! I think by a magnitude of 7000!
- I found a better experienced TPM ministry in the region and that was better. But as the three of us in the family were seeing three different people, the results were quite different. I happened to be involved with the head of ministry while my wife and child were seeing associates. Unfortunately, in their cases I later discovered that TPM was being mixed with other styles of ministry. This is a no-no. The facilitator has to be transparent, discerning, believing and patient to let Jesus do what Jesus loves to do. When He speaks, light always shatters the darkness; lies are exposed and truth brings Peace where pain once ruled.
- About a year later I had the unique privilege of attending a 4 day Basic Apprenticeship Training with Dr. Smith at Alathia Training Center in Kentucky. About 32 of us came from around the globe. I was a railroader, not even officially in lay ministry. Others in the room had doctorates and initials of title that didn’t recognise, but we were there to learn and be useful to God. I saw lives – more than half that attended – transformed. Even countenances were dramatically changed. It was Grace upon Grace. It was God.
– Jesus used a breakout session and a first-time facilitator to expose an insidious lie (that I believed from childhood as the truth) about my core identity and it’s “defective” state, to set me free from a life of trying to prove myself – or medicate my pain. The facilitator-trainee, simply by the Spirit, asked the ‘right’ question at the right time and asked me to listen to Jesus’ answer. At fifty-five I stepped into a new pain-free reality with one Word from God.
– Joyful, just one point to make on your comment above:
“The Bible says that the truth can only set us free. Memories, fears, and traumas that are “shoved under the rug” and not faced and dealt with cause millions of dollars worth of chronic illness every year. Facing these debilitating memories and finding healing in the name of Jesus Christ is the first step to freedom.”
– This is so very true. I’d just like to add for clarity in the discussion that it’s how we sometimes innocently interpret, or what we end up believing about, the traumatic events of our lives, that result in fears and false identities or shame that creates a self-destructive process that only Jesus can correct.
– I personally believe that Jesus, and Father God, want to have us see ourselves as He intended – our true Identity in Christ. I also believe that satan’s chief goal is to steal that identity from us and then keep us from ever learning what it is. In most, he is quite successful. Here’s a clue, a name, your name, is most often a definition of Identity. Think about the name Jesus, and what it means. Papa names ALL His children. Yes?
– Jorge, your on a good track, asking Jesus questions, and obviously expecting His answers. I’m always amazed that so many people believe that satan, or evil spirits, can separate us from the love of God. I once asked Jesus, “Would you show me my heart the place were you live? ” He did. With the eyes of my heart (dare I use the imagination word) He immediately showed me my heart as I knew it. It was not pretty, but it was accurate and comfortable. More a cave than a mansion. But at once a shaft of light penetrated the darkness and he did one Extreme Makeover! Again, I live from a different place.
– Blessings All, on your journey to Freedom. We are all on the road somewhere.
Allen
Short and sweet.
Thanks to all for your possitive report on Theophostic ministry.
To jorge.
It breaks my heart to see people of God held back through fear of the unknown. And all the possibility of ‘yet again’ something else that isn’t right once again.
Warning; it can be crippling to those in fruitful ministry to be crippled once again by those who are scepticle of any of Gods amazing plans, just because they don’t understand the full story.
I want to endorse the theophostic approach to healing. Though like anything else in life, the problems we face are there due to human limitations. However, what bettter way to receive healing than by allowing the Holy Spirit (who is our teacher – it says in the word of God), to direct that time. Also, nothing is ’suggested ‘as you put it , rather. the person is encouraged to speak what comes to their mind of any core issue that the Lord wants dealt with, for the release and welbeing of that persons walk and relationship with God. God is very gentle, and He will never push a person beyond what they can cope with. It is up to the prayer minister to sence from God the appropriate time to end the session, and for each case it will differ according to the nature of the problem.
The only difference you may encounter between prayer ministers is their general experience in life and their approach which is different for us all, which in turn deternines how quickly/or not someone will be effective in this form of ministry. It is the same for any field of work, which is why they do not endorse people readily as “qualified”
Like any other form of ministry, most people go to those whom they can trust, through fruitful, sound, reputable dealings.
But certainly, in this case, not occultic, nor divining through trickery, which I for one abhor and not for monetry gain. Totally different spiritual camp as you will read in Deut 18:9-14
And donot call what belongs to the Lord as coming from satan
I hope this has helped you in some way
Be Careful
I am researching this…but I have a question…
Would this type of prayer/ministry be appropriate for a young child -
say a ten year old?
I don’t know. This is actually a question for a minister. Sorry, although I think it depends on the maturity of the child, and if the child has a connection with God.
jorge
I have used this type of prayer with very wounded women. I also received deep, cleansing healing for my own wounds and it changed my life! I was also alittle afraid because of being raised in a very conservative church but now, after myself experiencing the freedom of God’s touch, I totally believe it is another layer of God’s spiritual world. I facilitate but God brings up the visions, the words, and the pictures and the women do the rest in inviting Jesus into the picture. It is amazing to see the healing!
asking God questions for yourself isn’t TPM…it is prayer.
TPM is facilitating that for someone else…if you did take the course, read the book…you would see that you are not instructed to plant memories, make suggestions, etc…however this can be done in ANY prayer or counseling situation (lay or professional) as we are all human and sometimes THINK we know best for someone.
If we keep in mind that we DON’T know the best, that the BIBLE is true…we only see in part and know in part…then we will help many people who are in a place that they need a hand.
There are TONS of different “techniques” of inner healing/healing of the heart and I have grown much in my life because of many of them…but the truth is…it is all in the BIBLE….all inner healing should be is helping someone appropriate what Christ has already done for them.
“Theophostic Prayer Ministry” is Scientology in disguise.
A “TPM facilitator” (Scientology Auditor) leads the seeker (Preclear) through a “session” (same term as in Scientology Auditing) of “guided imagery” and “directed visualization” (“Dianetic reverie”, “mockups” and “mental image pictures”) towards “mind renewal experience” (“Clear”) by dealing with past buried memories that may still be bringing you down today (“Engrams”).
They claim that they seek to bring you to self-responisibility (Hubbard’s “Self determinism”) even as they keep you addicted to more and more “TPM Sessions”.
They call each person’s session a “case” (just like Scientology) and offer “training”, “courses” and “seminars” (just like Scientology) in TPM Facilitating, which is simply Auditing without the E-meter.
- Consider. There first has to be an Original for a Copy to exist. Sometimes we encounter the Copy first.
– Truth is like Love and gravity. It works no matter where you find it.
I have had enough of the back and forth.
Doesn’t the bible say “Do ALL things without complaining, criticizing and disputing”?
ALL things would include praying, talking and writting notes on the internet.
Will you please stop trying to place GOD in your tiny little boxes.
God is much bigger than all of us; bigger than Scientology, bigger than mediums and bigger than a prayer method called TPM. If He chooses to use TPM as a means to heal someone than it is His perogative to do so. ALL things ultimately serve HIS purpose.
I have been suffering Demonic attacks for over 10 months now and am seeking healing/relief. Theophostic Prayer was mentioned to me and I read all the stuff, including all your critism, and took it to God asking if this is where He wants to lead me. My basic feeling is GOD is in control. He loves me and will not allow anything outside His will for my life to damage me. Is it the persons words in prayer that heals you? No it is GOD who heals you. The persons words can not cause harm to me unless God allows it.
So please stop the back and forth and take God out of the little boxes your trying to place Him in.
Idolitry includes worshiping the True God in a manner unfitting to who He really is. Are you worship the True God or the God you have made him in your head to be?
Unfortunately, I don’t believe people delve into theophostic prayer long enough to realize just how powerful it is. I have been involved in TM since 2002 and it has changed my life tremendously and those that I have prayed with including my 12 year old daughter. Maybe you need to talk to people who have had extensive ministry and ask them what it has done for them. I have seen absolute miracles over and over and, yes, it is all biblical. Maybe you need to ask the Lord how He feels about it because He has always been there whenever I pray for someone. You have to realize that when doors have been opened in peoples lives, all Satan needs is a crack and he is there operating in people’s lives. You have judged this prayer wrongly and you may be even judged yourselves for posting this on the internet. Please consider and think about what I am writing you.
Ronbot- do you believe in any kind of prayer ministry or counseling?
Just wanted to respond to two of your three question at the end of the article.
1. Do you believe the Lord speaks to you?
Two way communication is the foundation of a relationship. It wouldn’t be a relationship if the Lord didn’t speak or respond to me. How did Moses, David or the Apostle Paul KNOW it was God speaking to them?
2. How do you know it’s the Lord?
Because what the Lord tells me during pray/quiet time is 90% contrary to what I (or the devil) would be saying to myself. When the Lord spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus, it was contrary to what Saul?Paul believed and was about to do.
Ok, so I’m not a theolgian or evangelist, but hopefully you get my point.
“ALL things ultimately serve HIS purpose.”
This statement is something evil often hides behind..and is something an abuser led me to believe about abuse – they even had me believing it too.. that my abuse and rape ultimately served God’s purpose for humanity too – thus teh statement onyl served to make my early childhood sexual abuse ’sanctioned by God’ or “Gods will”. Something that LED me into crisis and away from God not TO God.
” by their fruits you will know them”
This statement reflects what thesophy and occult traditions say too…not just say, but activly believe and manipulate to continue doing evil things to so many and so they can continue twisting the truth to suit their own ego driven ends.
And what an outrageous, horrendous horrible revolting thing and belief to have been subjected to, and to have thrust into my mind at the time of my own spiritual crisis and even now…that somehow ” God said it was ok for men to abuse me! ” – for His ultimate pleasure and will and purpose.
What a crock!
What a lie!
Nomatter YOUR intended use of the statement here…This statement IS BEING used that way, by many ignorant people to ensare the hellpless and powerless..and ensure no one can serve Gods intended purpose for them…it could be applied to rape and murder and genocide too…its rediculous!
It is a very damaging and spiritually depressing thing to have to wade through this kind of crap, for those of us who have lived through and have survied lifetimes of abuse only to be told ‘everything’ serves Gods will….so that in that way God sanctioned/s it and allows it to continue. Its not helpful.
These lies, are the lies I am trying hard to overcome and refute in my own life and journey…I am trying to walk with God, right past them and right through them if necessary, in faith that God alone – through Christ – HAS delivered me from evil and CONTINUES to do so..
I wont ever for a moment give creedence to thoughts or people who say that “God uses evil for his ends” or ” God sanctions evil ” for purpose in any form…let alone His holy purpose.
That to me, IS the “big lie” of all religions…that He does.
It disturbs me that unqualified inexperienced so called intelligent people would bandy about statements like that without a screik of awareness of the true cost to the soul and life of an abuse victim and yet while ‘trying to help’ said victims, they still make these statements without clarification, without caveat..and leave victims even more islolated than they ever where…not just shut in and out of life and society..but turned in on themselves and shut away from the Holy Spirit and God because no one I know, who has been abused, could spiritually or emotionally cope with knowing God did it..or allowed it..or gave sanction to it…let alone turn TO a God who they thought for a second did , for help guidance and support.
I can lend something to the notion that God sent *His apostles* out into the world knowing they would be harrassed and abused even killed for His sake..but they were His chosen apostles….and that caveat did not ever once say in the bible that meant our babies, children, women and men of young age…wives and mothers had to ‘go out’ intot he world and suffer abuse too.
So..I’m sorry..I dont buy it..
Evil often comes as a ‘being of light’…and talks in mysterious ways and gives ‘mircaculous’ healings etc…and uses and twists Gods words alot….its still evil though…still easily identifiable to those who know how to spot it for what it is.
The reality is that as an abuse vicitim I wasnt the one who needed the healing clarity of ‘return to God’….the mongrels who did it need those things. Victims of abuse didnt do ANYTHING wrong…THEY did. We didnt move from God or God from us..people who abuse try to shift us.
So maybe this ‘ministry’ woudl do much better by applying their wares to abusers themselves..and leave what God has already delivered and healed..alone.
THE reality is, that not all things in this world SERVE Gods will and purpose. ..and saying they do is a tremendous attribution error…a dangerous mistake…a deluded misdirected belief.
God isnt a child abuser..rapist or murderer….does not use rape and abuse and murder for His purpose. Satan though, does.
Satan IS the enemy…and I suggest more people get their own houses in order before going out there to ‘order’ the houses of others.

- Just one last “thorn in my side” to speak to. It irritates me when the spell-checker wants to capitalize satan’s name. Really! Not on my watch.
– the word satan means accuser. He accuses us before God, us to ourselves and others and he accuses God to all of us.
– That will never gain “proper” status from my pen.
