This song surprised me. He can’t sing the last verse on the song on the album, so I went and researched and found this.

Stephen was his best friend and a youth leader. He prayed that God would shake the youth of the nation, that he would give his life if God would shake the youth of the nation. He died that night in a car accident.

OK, so I don’t know what else to call it, but “Funky Worship” seems to fit. Except for two instrumental tracks, these songs are worship songs I wrote within the past couple of years. I’ve been on a quest to find good worship music that’s not necessarily traditional/contemporary music. It’s hard to find.

So, as with almost every one of my music projects, I saw a need (at least one I saw in myself) and did something about it.

These tracks are a mix of trip hop, breaks, techno, soul, 80s, pop, dance, rock, house, chill, electro, worship and well, probably other things. I just put a bunch of stuff together that sounded good to me. They were built using Apple’s “Garage Band”.

I am happy with the way these tracks turned out, except for the vocals on some of the tracks, but I can live with it. It’s really hard to record vocals, and I’m not a great singer, so you will find that on most of the tracks, I have processed and put loads of effects on the songs. I am thinking it adds to the interest, but I can’t tell anymore.

I like them, and hope you will too.

So, since they started out as worship songs, I am including pdfs for each of the songs with the lyrics and guitar chords so you can play them at home or at your church or youth group or whatever.

And, I am giving you permission to download these mp3s, burn them, share them, whatever you want. Have at it.

Oh, and the title of the project is “The Hug That Lasts Forever”, which comes from my oldest daughter. She was praying and asking the Lord what He wanted to tell her, and He told her that “One day, I’m going to give you a hug that lasts forever”.

The marketing of the whole abortion issue is so crazy. I am anti-abortion, but pro-choice, and I would assume that people who are pro-choice are also pro-life. I mean, we’re alive, right?

Maybe I’m being a stickler and silly about word meanings, but it just bugs me.

Choice is not the issue here. it’s the death of a baby, right? OK, I get that it’s the choice of the mother to kill her baby, but the phrase is deceptive. It’s obvious it was constructed so that the words “abortion” and “dead baby” wouldn’t have to be uttered. They are uncomfortable words…even for pro-choicers.

On the other hand, the phrase begs the opposite for opposers to abortion…If I’m not pro-choice, then I must be anti-choice…which would mean that I might be a communist or something. I can not be anti-choice…that’s just silly. Everyone will always have a choice. Even not choosing is a choice, or something like that.

The “pro-life” phrase is also a strange marketing term. Although it seems a bit more descriptive and less insulting than the other. Really, it means “anti-abortion” and “don’t kill your baby”. We all love life, just some people don’t want to have a baby, so they get rid of it.

Honestly, I am comfortable with saying I am “anti-abortion”. “Pro-Life” just seems too “Politically Correct” for me.

When my family prays for the mommies who are deciding to kill their babies, we’ve told our kids just that…pray for them that they don’t kill their babies. Not that they “choose life”. That doesn’t mean anything to them.

Something along these lines would be better:

“Lord, please help the mommies see that their babies are alive.” and “Lord, please show the mommies that You love them and their baby.” and “Lord, please remind the mommies that they can give their babies up for adoption.” and “Lord, give the mommies money so they can keep and take care of the babies.”

What I am praying for is that adoptions become really inexpensive, and that a financial (non government) network is developed to help the mommies keep, deliver, and take care of their babies, or keep, deliver and give their babies to someone who wants them. Find Adoptive Parents.

The thing that should bother all of us is the double standard that is happening right now. Someone kills a lady who is pregnant and is charged for two murders. A lady who asks someone to jump on her stomach to kill her baby is not charged at all. Then she changes her mind and says that she didn’t want them to kill the baby and the person who jumped on her stomach gets charged for murder.

A lady who has twins in her belly where one is malformed tries to abort the malformed one, but the doctor kills the wrong one. The doctor gets charged for murder (or at least malpractice), the mom gets her money back, plus a settlement, then decides to kill the malformed baby after all.

A mom drowns all her kids in a bathtub and gets charged for murder, but a mommy decides three or four weeks before her due date that she doesn’t want her baby and kills it and goes home.

Saying it’s OK to kill the baby if the mommy says it’s OK is just wrong. You know, there are countries where infanticide is legal. That means that up until a certain age, parents can choose to kill their child.

I personally think that our government says murdering of a human is illegal because it’s taking away a financial asset from society…meaning that if someone is killed, then they can’t spend money. So, unborn babies can’t spend money, but mommies can (abortions cost around $300).

I’m a Christian and I believe the Bible to be the truth, and the God of the Bible to be the “Unmoved Mover” and the authority over morality and truth, so I know the real reason why people shouldn’t kill. I just don’t really understand why the government upholds laws like stealing and killing unless it’s because of the money reason I mentioned above

And gay marriage, isn’t that just a legal contract? That’s what the Justice of the Peace is there for. Why would gays, who for the most part don’t believe in God, want to have a “church wedding”, or be “blessed by God”? That doesn’t make sense to me, and thus, why should the government need to have a law about that?

I don’t need a legal contract to keep me true and loyal to my wife.

By the way, I’m just assuming most gays aren’t “Bible Thumpers”, you know, because of those few specific verses and all.

On a side note, allowing gay married couples to adopt babies means that more people will want mommies not to abort babies!

That’s a whole nother thing, isn’t it?

I’m also bothered by the fact that mommies aren’t told the whole story. That their baby has a heartbeat, that the procedure hurts, that they will think about how old their baby would have been every year, that there are side effects, that condoms don’t work, that condoms are given out to teens because it will result in a false sense of security and many times, a pregnancy, which means potentially more money for the abortion clinic, that the birth control pill is abortive.

And that babies are cool, they are sweet, they grow our hearts, they change us for the better, they love us back, they are a responsibility that matures us, that there are people out there who want babies, that having a baby is what your body is designed for.
